Development Strategy of Gouramy Fish Cultivation in Banyumas District as Minapolitan Area

Abstract

                “Minapolitan” is the concept of development of marine and fishery in region based. Banyumas is one of Minapolitan area in Central java which start this program from 2009 untill now with gouramy fish as potential commodity. Banyumas has some area that used as Gouramy fish cultivation. Kalikidang Village is one of them and the biggest. Besides all of potential benefit, there are many problem such as lack of capital to develop area, less of infrastructure and increasing of price production.
The research aims to identify the variability, strategies alternative and strategies priority that can be applied to develop Banyumas as Minapolitan area, especially in food security case. The research was conducted in Kalikidang Village Sokaraja- Banyumas District. The method of data analysis that we used are matrix IFE, EFE matrix, SWOT matrix and matrix QSP and used 30 gouramy farmers respondents.
The result of this research showed (1) a major strength in the development of gouramy agribusiness ini Kalikidang Village is focused on enlargement and the major weakness is the small capital. While the main opportunities is there are many people who support the development of gouramy agribusiness and the main threat is rising prices of productions factors. (2) There are 8 alternative strategy produced, two S-O strategies, two W-O strategies, two S-T strategies, two W-T strategies. (3) The priority of strategy is to maintain market and further strengthen the relationship with the relevant  stakeholders in the development of agribusiness of gouramy investment.
